Hello to all of the John Anthony Customers and fellow guitar making enthusiasts and professionals.
This page will now replace the news feed pages and hopefully l will have a little more time to keep my customers informed and maybe even a little entertained with new projects and features.
Following the recent house move work has progressed slowly on the workshop and office fitting out. This has been very frustrating. I have managed to make a little progress on the Navigator and several lapsteel projects but have to admit that its been like knitting fog!
My new workshop is basically a 18' x 11' brick built garage. It currently has no windows or side doors and is a bit like a prison cell! I have made all of the benches and wired all of the power points and lighting. It has a loft area that has been floored and this is useful storage space. I have just bought a door and window and these will be cut in and fitted in the next week or two. I have painted most of the walls white to try and lighten the workspace and it is now usable.
This last weekend l took delivery of a 16' x 10' summer house that is to be used for all of the 'clean' area jobs such as wiring, buffing and setting up. There will also be a sitting area with a couple of amps to try out the creations. The basic structure is up but needs fitting out. A lot of work went into making the base and patio area and l have suffered real pain after shifting 7 tons of building materials down the drive and using said materials!!!
